Organizations in The FDA
The FDA is short for the Food and Drug Administration. The FDA is an agency that is part of the Department of Health and Human Services. They have nine organizations within the one. Each is a center or office that controls a certain aspect of the FDA. Each has a specialized role in the FDA and must adhere to strict laws, rules and governing to ensure the safety of all the citizens within the country.
National Center of Toxicology Research
This center oversees the toxicity levels of the food, drugs and other products that are regulated through the FDA to ensure that all is safe for those citizens throughout the country. The products have to pass this level in order to be deemed safe to use.
Office of Foods and Veterinary Medicine
Center that leads a unified FDA program to control, regulate, address safety concerns, nutrition and other important aspects of food to achieve public health goals. They also regulate the same with veterinary medicine, but only with the food that is supplied to those animals and not the actual medications that the animals will receive at home or through a veterinary office.
